Obituary of Phyllis Jane Linger

untitled3 Phyllis Jane Linger Phyllis Jane Linger, age 74, of Buckhannon, WV, died Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at her home. She was born May 9, 1938 in Upshur County, WV, a daughter of the late Boyd and Sarah Ramsey Alkire. On June 10, 1959 she married Edward L. Linger who survives. Also surviving is one son, Eddie Phillip Linger and wife Crystal of Buckhannon; two granddaughters, Harley and Presley Linger both of Buckhannon; two brothers, Boyd Alkire, Jr. of NC and Dallas Alkire of Harrisonburg, VA and special caregiver, Shelli Burnside of French Creek, WV. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one sister, Helen Long and two brothers, Eugene and Denzil Alkire. Mrs. Linger was born in Upshur County and raised in Lorentz, WV. She worked at Central National Bank for 18 years and was Vice President of Linger Trucking. She was a member of the Lorentz United Methodist Church and attended Light Chapel Church. Friends will be received Saturday, March 30, 2013 from 5-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 2 PM Sunday, at the funeral home with the Rev. Ralph Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Georgetown Church Cemetery in Georgetown, WV. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
