untitled3 Jackie L. Ford Jackie L. Ford, age 76, of Buckhannon, WV, died Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at United Hospital Center. He was born September 8, 1936 in Buckhannon a son of the late Hilbert “Doc” and Ona G. Linger Ford. On April 25, 1959 he married Margie L. Alexander who survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Deborah Cvechko and husband Mark of Buckhannon; two sons, Jeffrey C. Ford and wife Susan and Scott Ford, both of Buckhannon; three step granddaughters, Kara Parsons and husband Joe of Ft. Wayne, IN, Kristy Cvechko of Vietnam and Lauren Cvechko of Buckhannon; one step great granddaughter, Natalie Parsons of Ft. Wayne; and one sister, Dorothy Luce and husband Fred of Jefferson, OH. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Marjorie LaBelle. Jack served in the US Army from 1959 to 1961. He was a member of the Buckhannon VFD for 25 years, a member of Tallmansville Baptist Church and retired from the City of Buckhannon Water Department after 33 years as a supervisor. Friends will be received at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home Friday, June 14, 2013 from 5-9 PM. A funeral service will be held 11 AM Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Tim Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery. The Upshur County Honor Guard will provide Military Honors at the graveside. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
