Barbara Dawn Austin, age 53, of Buckhannon, WV, died Thursday, May 28, 2026, at her home. She was born April 26, 1973, in Buckhannon, a daughter of Herman and Barbara Hitt Watson of Buckhannon. In addition to her parents, she is survived by one sister, Mary Tenney and husband Chris of Jane Lew, WV; one brother, Herman Anthony Watson of Jane Lew; one niece, Noelle Tenney of Jane Lew and three aunts, Susan Morgan of Inwood, WV, Nancy Lee and Bonnie Hitt both of Buckhannon. Dawn worked for the FBI as a Fingerprint Examiner. In honoring her wishes she will be cremated. In lieu of flowers make donations to the Cancer Society.
