Beatrice Louise Hinkle Kovach

Beatrice Louise Hinkle Kovach, age 99, of Tallmansville, WV, died Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at Serenity Care Home in Buckhannon, WV. She was born August 19, 1926, in Queens, WV, a daughter of the late Eddie and Eula D. Sloan Hinkle. On November 16, 1947, she married George Kovach who preceded her in death on May 6, 2008. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Elmer Hinkle; two sisters-in-law, Zana Lee Hinkle and Shirley Hinkle and one brother-in-law, Donald Buckley. She is survived by one brother, Eddie Junior Hinkle of Buckhannon; one sister, Delma Buckley of Greer, SC; four nieces, Sherry Hess and husband Bill of Parkersburg, WV, Kimberly Linger and husband David of Buckhannon, Lori Hoover and husband Chris of Arcanum, OH and Tracy Bunger and husband Doug of Greenville, OH and four great nephews, Austin, Jace, Christopher and Patrick. Mrs. Kovach retired from Steptoe & Johnosn in 1982. She previously worked for National Biscuit Company. She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Clarksburg, WV, since 1944. Mrs. Kovach was a member of the Wesleyan Service Guild and later the Sarah and Esther Circles of United Methodist Women; where she severed on various committees for both circles. Friends will be received Sunday, May 31, 2026, from 12 Noon to 2 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 2 PM Sunday at the funeral home with Pastor Holly Hoover  officiating. Burial will follow in the Lanham Cemetery in Queens.
