Kay Barbara Sienkiewicz, age 90, of Buckhannon, WV, died Monday, April 20, 2026, at Holbrook Healthcare Center in Buckhannon. She was born April 6, 1936, in Manchester, CT, a daughter of the late Hubert Maine and Bella (MacTurk) Sprague. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Sienkiewicz; son, Michael Sienkiewicz and brother, Hugh Maine. Surviving are, three children, Thomas Sienkiewicz and wife Joyce of Buckhannon, Kathy Willis and husband Steve of Aurora, CO and Chris Sienkiewicz and wife Bonita of Lewisburg, WV; one daughter-in-law, Myra Sienkiewicz of Charles Town, WV; nine grandchildren, Katie Lyda, Kelly Scott, Ben Sienkiewicz, Jennifer Sienkiewicz, Emily Willis, Derek Ferretti, Dana Sienkiewicz, Porsche Taylor, and Andrew Sienkiewicz; 15 great-grandchildren; one brother, Bruce Maine and wife (Beverly) of Swansea, IL; sister-in-law Barbara Maine of Ashkum, IL; neighbors, Natalie and Dave Feola and Susan Rice and friends, MariAnn Jack and Father Ed Tetteh. She graduated Ogdensburg Free Academy in 1954 and Albany Business College in 1955. From 1954-1968 she worked for Leed’s Clothing store and Sherry’s clothing store and Whitney’s Department Store in Albany, NY. 1964-1968 was a buyer for Interstate Dept. Store in New York City. She owned and operated Momselle Maternity Shop from 1968-2022 in both Rutland VT and Buckhannon, WV. She was active in Buckhannon BPW, Quilters Club, and Coin and Stamp Club. She loved sewing, quilting, and crafting in general. She also enjoyed singing and playing the piano and watching the WVU Mountaineers. Friends will be received for a memorial gathering Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 1 PM at the funeral home with Father Edward Tetteh, S.V.D. officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon.
