Michael Wayne Sims, age 43, of Clarksburg, WV, died Friday, April 17, 2026, at WVU Medicine United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, WV. He was born December 3, 1982, in Buckhannon, WV, a son of Barbara Sims Cerullo of Buckhannon and the late Gary Elliott. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Marshall Cerullo. In addition to his mother, he is survived by one brother, Richard Cerullo and wife Jennifer Small of Buckhannon; two nieces, Tegan Page and Peyton Cerullo both of Buckhannon; friend, Ryan and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Michael loved family get togethers, spending time with his family and he loved animals. In honoring Michael’s wishes he will be cremated.
