Linda Reaser Obituary

Linda Reaser died April 9, 2026, in Marietta, Ohio, after a prolonged illness. She was born on January 6, 1950, in Sago, West Virginia, a daughter of the late George and Arnie Hamner. Linda attended Buckhannon-Upshur High School and graduated with the Class of 1967.  As a young adult, Linda worked at Jackson’s Mill.  She married and moved to Harrisville, West Virginia, where she raised her children. Linda was very involved in the Ritchie County Community, often volunteering her time to different causes.  She also baked cakes professionally and made many wedding cakes and many cakes for school-related functions.  In her later years, she worked at Simonton Windows where she made many friends.  Linda never knew a stranger. She owned and operated The Crafty Peddler craft store in Harrisville and was very active in the craft show circuit. She enjoyed painting immensely. In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her brothers, George “Junior” Hamner, Robert Hamner and Roger Hamner and one sister, Dorothy Radcliff.  She is survived by her son, Shawn (Judith) Reaser of Parkersburg, West Virginia; daughter, Amber Reaser of Weston, West Virginia; her beloved grandson, Harley Heffner; brothers, Tom (Janet) Hamner and Paul “Bugs” (Liz) Hamner; brother-in-law, Hearlon Radcliffe, and several nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. Friends will be received Friday, April 17, 2026, from 11 AM to 1 PM at Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral will be held 1 PM at the funeral home with Rev. Wease L. Day officiating. Burial will follow in the Rock Cave Cemetery in Rock Cave, WV. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your local Humane Society or favorite animal rescue in her Linda’s memory.
