Lenna Lewis Sturm, 100, peacefully passed away  one month shy of her 101st birthday on April 9, 2026.  She resided in North Carolina with her daughter and son-in-law, Ann & Keith Boggs, for the past six years.  She considered Nutter Fort, WV, her home. Lenna was born on May 19, 1925, in Wildcat, WV, to the late Jasper K. Lewis and Lillie Skidmore Lewis.  She was preceded in death by seven sisters and one brother, Kayrene “Kay” Viola,  Iris Baisden, Pauline “Billie” White, Vonda Dean Scardina, Harold Lewis, Ethel McNeely, Nina Gainor Hatchell, and Daisy Tousignant; former husband, Carl E. Sturm, and infant son, Robert Lester Sturm. She is survived by two children, Carl G. Sturm (Piak) of Arlington, TX  and M. Ann Boggs (Keith) of Sherrills Ford, NC;  three grandchildren, Jimmy Sturm (Jenny) of Raleigh, NC, Lee Ann Boggs of Denver, NC, and Jonathan Boggs (Wendi) of Denver, NC;  two step grandchildren, David McElveen (David Favret) of New Orleans, LA, and Diane McElveen (Jim Keneipp) of Denver, CO.  Ten great grandchildren, Ellie Sturm, Henry Sturm, Christian Akerberg, Alton (AJ) Akerberg, Kinsley Boggs,  Asher Boggs, Truman Favret, Ziggy Keneipp, Moxie Keneipp and Tucker Taschke; first cousin, Ann Lewis Dotson and many nieces and nephews. Lenna graduated from Buckhannon-Upshur High School in 1943 and Charleston General Hospital School of Nursing in 1947.  She worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Alderson Broadus Hospital and retired from United Hospital Center with 25 years of service. She was a member of Vincent Memorial Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women for over 60 years.  Friends will be received Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Mt. Hermon Cemetery in Buckhannon, WV. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Vincent Memorial Methodist Church, 401 Indiana Ave, Nutter Fort, WV 26301.
