Loretta June Reed, age 79, died Sunday, April 5, 2026, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon, WV. She was born December 7, 1946, a daughter of the late Van and Gladys Lake Squires. She is survived by her husband Jerry Reed of Tallmansville, WV; four sons, Bill Beckner and wife Cathy of Mount Airy, NC, Chuck Beckner of Buckhannon, Jeff Reed and partner Stephanie Arbogast of Buckhannon and Kenny Reed of Elkins, WV; five grandchildren, Rob Beckner of Dobson, NC, Corey Reed and Colton Beckner both of Buckhannon, Savannaha Burnham and husband Gavin of NJ and Dakota Beckner of Buckhannon; one great-grandchild on the way; one sister, Nancy Eddy of Mechanicsburg, PA and two brothers, Ron and Randy Squires both of Buckhannon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby and David Squires. Mrs. Reed was a  Machine Operator at Moore Business Forms, and she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. In honoring Mrs. Reed’s wishes she will be cremated. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Christian Fellowship Church (56 Fellowship Way, Buckhannon WV 26201) in her memory.
