In Honor & Loving Memory of Robert Ward Kurzrock, 68, of Buckhannon, who passed away peacefully and all too soon, on December 9, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. Born in Fort Lauderdale on November 4, 1957, to William and Aleda Kurzrock. Bob was raised in the Florida sunshine, a lover of nature and animals who played outdoors with his siblings and friends, including his best friend, Rick Carrier. To know him was to love him. A standout athlete and student at Stranahan High School, he later attended Broward Community College before joining the Police Academy and beginning his career as a School Resource Officer at Coral Springs High School, where he was loved and respected by all students and staff. For nearly 30 years, ‘Rock’ served the Coral Springs Police Department with distinction, holding roles as a Homicide and Vice Intelligence Narcotics Detective, SWAT Team Leader and Sniper, and a member of the DEA Task Force. His unwavering commitment to justice and service set the standard for excellence, earning him a reputation as one of the most respected officers in the department’s history—a legacy of honor that endures. Post retirement, he continued his service to the community as a respected Bail Bondsman. Bob embodied humility, strength, and kindness. He welcomed everyone with warmth and lived by core values of love and integrity. As a father, he balanced discipline with joy--playing sports, building forts, teaching his children to fish, hunt, and protect themselves...Instilling in his children to "be the best you can be". He was the fun dad and steady guide. Bob was a loving and dedicated husband to his beautiful wife, with whom he built a wonderful life in the mountains of West Virginia, the place he always dreamed of retiring. Bob leaves behind his beloved wife, Christina C. (Dellose) Kurzrock, daughter Ashley M. Kurzrock and Michael Napolitano, daughter Gabrielle Kurzrock-Long and Brandon Long, son Keelan B. Kurzrock and wife Dakota (Webb) Kurzrock, son Michael Frisicaro and Brittany White, daughter Alexis Frisicaro and W. Seth Villers, and his seven grandchildren (Victoria, Ryleigh, Paxton, Nova, Nash, Knox and Annie) who lovingly call him 'PopPop'. He also leaves behind his sister Linda King and husband Pat, brothers Kenneth Kurzrock and wife Dorothy, Douglas Kurzrock and wife Cindy, Carl Kurzrock and wife Diane, as well as many nieces, nephews and close friends. Predeceased by his parents, William Wendell Kurzrock and Aleda Ruth (Washburn) Kurzrock. Beyond his badge, Bob was a mentor, a storyteller, and a friend who believed in lifting others up...Bob's legacy of courage and selflessness will live on in the countless lives he's touched.
