Vonda Mae Simons, age 76, of Buckhannon, WV, died Monday, September 8, 2025, at WVU Medicine St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon. She was born November 20, 1948, in Buckhannon, a daughter of the late Randolph and Mary Marie Wagner Wright. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Otha Simons. She is survived by four children, Lavonnia Goodwin and husband Rick and Nicole Simons and companion Josh all of Buckhannon, James Simons and spouse Nancy of Summerville, SC and Christina Stimson and companion Daniel; eleven grandchildren, Janet Linger and husband Joe, Heather Koon and husband James, Gavin Daugherty, Kobe Hamrick, Coley Hamrick, Payton Zickefoose and Katlyn Simons all of Buckhannon, Jason Simons and spouse Christina, Alyssa Stimson, Michael Dopkant and spouse Cassy of Grover, SC and Rhianna Stimson and eighteen brothers and sisters. Mrs. Simons was a CNA, which she loved. She enjoyed hummingbirds, flowers, music, and dancing. Vonda loved working with people and was very devoted to her family, who were everything to her.
