Connie Lynn Wamsley, of the Bryan Foster Road in Buckhannon, WV, left this world for her Heavenly Home on September 8, 2025. She was 75 years old. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gene Sutton of Weston, WV and Kenna Jean Sutton of Buckhannon. Grandparents Holly and Beula Sutton and K.E. and Elsie Queen all of Buckhannon. Special aunt, Betty Stone of Buckhannon and Aunt Wilma Dean of OH. She was also preceded by daughter, Nola Ann Wamsley and two unnamed children by miscarriage. She is survived by her husband Marvin L. Wamsley of Buckhannon, married 53 years. Also son, David M. Wamsley of Buckhannon; grandchildren, Christopher, MaKayla and Anthony Wamsley all of Buckhannon and former daughter in law, Maranda Wamsley; cousins, Judy White and Keith Dowell of Buckhannon, Dale Stone of CA, Barb Powell, Diane Eckstein, Rodney Dean and Kenny Dean of OH; special friends, Sandra Bennett of Buckhannon and Sue Cross of Philippi, WV; brother and sisters-in-law, Yvonnda and Charles Tenney, Larry and Corrine Wamsley of Buckhannon and Chet and Kay Wamsley of Morgantown, WV and their families. Connie retired as a school cook from the Upshur County Board of Education. Connie was an avid deer hunter and was a member of the Beech Mountain Sportsman’s Club in Czar, WV. She was a former member of the Tennerton Methodist Church and Tallmansville Baptist Church. At Connie’s request there will be no viewing or services, she will be cremated.
