Patty (Pat) Jordon of Buckhannon, the Hinkleville community, passed away Thursday August 21, 2025, In the comfort of his home, under the care of his family, guided by WVU Hospice. He was born the sixth of seven children to the late Bethel (Ben) and Melba Arbogast Jordon, on January 31, 1937, in Webster county. Patty attended grade school in Webster county at both Briar Ridge School and Vance School before enlisting in the US Army where he went on to obtain his GED. He was united in marriage to Delores Pugh on November 1, 1957, and that marriage endured 65 years until her passing on March 12, 2023. A lover of the outdoors, Pat spent his entire working career in the timber business involving everything from land management to logging to sawmill operations. In his twenty plus years of retirement he thrived on collecting and trading any and all things. In addition to his parents and wife Pat was preceded in death by his sisters Hope and husband Paul Fisher, and Faith and husband Jerry Berger, brothers Calvin Jordon and wife Doris, Bennie Jordon and wife June, and Gueard Jordon and wife Pauline. Pat is survived by his son Daymon Jordon and wife Patty of Buckhannon, daughter Madonna Jordon and husband Mitch Blake of Horner, granddaughter Heather McNemar and husband Bronson of Buckhannon, grandson Theo Chidester and wife Ceara of Gaines, as well as great grandson Gunner McNemar of Buckhannon and great granddaughter Dani Chidester of Gaines. Also surviving is brother Mike Jordon and wife Vera of Cleveland, WV. In addition to the family listed above, he was “Uncle Pat” to over forty nieces and nephews. In honoring Pat’s wishes he will be cremated and there will be no service. His ashes will be buried in Vance Cemetery in Hacker Valley.
