Harold Mathias, age 84, of Warrenton, VA, died Sunday, May 11, 2025, at his home. He was born on September 5, 1940, in Mathias, WV, a son of the late Marvin F. and June N. Stultz Mathias. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Cheryl Duncan. He is survived by one brother, David Mathias and wife Linda of Elkins, WV; niece, Amy Arthur and husband Jay of Morgantown, WV; son-in-law, David Duncan of Warrenton; one great nephew, Ryan Arthur of Morgantown; two great nieces, Carly and Kadie Arthur both of Morgantown and several cousins. Mr. Mathias was a Pipeline Welder in the gas industry. He also went to meat cutting school and became an expert meat cutter. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting. Mr. Mathias was a Christian by faith. Friends will be received Friday, May 16, 2025, from 10 AM to 12 Noon at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home.
