Norman Denver Hanifan

Norman Denver Hanifan, age 84, of Tallmansville, WV, died Thursday, May 8 , 2025, at Holbrook Healthcare Center in Buckhannon, WV. He was born August 27, 1940, in Cubana, WV, a son of the late Jess and Lola Zickefoose Hanifan. On August 27, 1960, he married Hilda Marie Zickefoose who preceded him in death on October 25, 2024. Surviving are three daughters, Brenda Wagoner and husband Doug of Buckhannon, Karen McClure and husband Dave of Tallmansville and Debbie Koon and husband Dave of Buckhannon; twelve grandchildren, Tim Wagoner and wife Cassie, Justin Wagoner, Jeremy Wagoner and wife Kenzie, Kaden Wagoner and wife Johnelle, Trina Miller and husband Jacob, Deanna Warner and husband Patrick and Devin Koon all of Buckhannon, Danielle Lipps and husband Shaun of French Creek, WV, Bradley McClure and wife Stacy, Wayne McClure and wife Katrina, Dylan McClure and wife Kaitlyn and William Hanifan and wife Tina all of Tallmansville; 16 great grandchildren; one brother Marvin Hanifan of Buckhannon; one sister-in-law, Luella Hanifan of Buckhannon; one daughter-in-law, Debra Hanifan of Tallmansville and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one son, Ronald Hanifan; two grandsons, Kevin and Kaleb Wagoner; two great grandsons Tyler Warner and Walker Wagoner; one great granddaughter, Brooke Kelley; eight sisters, Dessie Hanifan, Adis Corrick, Genevie Phipps, Naomi Brant, Lottie Lewis, Doris Talbot, Helen Lee Wagoner and Margaret Ann Simmons; four brothers, Stafford, Calvin, Jess O, and Maynard Hanifan. Mr. Hanifan was a farmer. Friends will be received Saturday, May 10, 2025, from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 1 PM Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Wease Day officiating. Burial will follow in the Simmons Church Cemetery in Queens, WV.
