James Elery Lynch

James Elery Lynch, age 50, of Buckhannon, WV, died Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at the J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. He was born November 17, 1974, in Landsdale, PA, a son of Dolores Ann McCauley Diston of Buckhannon and the late Elery Jennings Lynch. On April 8, 2008, he married Jessica Nichole Webb who survives. Also surviving are three children, Keelin Howes and Jonathan Arnett of Monongah, WV, Atlee Howes and Kiley Landis of Rock Cave, WV and Zaia Lynch of Buckhannon; two sisters, Cora Lynch and Frank of Buckhannon and Patricia Lynch of Arnoldsburg, WV; his beloved dogs, Bella, Pepper and Sophie; father and mother-in law, Doug and Cora Webb; several nieces and nephews and numerous friends. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Dolores “Grammy” McCauley. James was an Environmental Lab Manager for Standard Laboratories. He was devoted to his wife and children, supporting them with anything they wanted to do. James liked to play Dungeons and Dragons, board games and having game nights with his friends. He loved watching his daughter play soccer and vacationing with his family and friends. James’ favorite childhood memory was fishing with his father. A private service was held for the family. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In honoring his wishes, James will be cremated. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
