Obituary of Douglas Wayne Edgell

Douglas Wayne Edgell, 51, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, formerly of Buckhannon, {French Creek} West Virginia, passed away at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center on March 1, 2025. He was born May 14, 1973 in Buckhannon, WV.  Doug is survived by his wife Michelle Hawkins Edgell, his daughter Amber Edgell (Brandon) Tsosie, his father Les W. Edgell (Carol), his sister Cindi Edgell Helmick,  his grandmother Marian Harris, and his father-in-law Bobby Hawkins. Doug was preceded in death by his mother Darla Winemiller Edgell, his brother Steven Curtis Edgell, and his mother-in-law Ruth Hawkins. Doug was a train engineer for CSX Railroad for twenty-five years. He loved the railroad, hunting, fishing, and spending time with family and friends and his dog, Lightening. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and was an active volunteer at the Temple in Idaho Falls. Doug's desire was to be cremated, and his ashes be brought back to West Virginia. This wish will be honored later this spring.
