James “Jimmy" Fidler, age 77, of Buckhannon, WV, died Thursday, August 22, 2024, at his home. He was born July 1, 1947, in Buckhannon, a son of the late Harold Fidler and Jessie Mae Prince Simmons. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Charlie Simmons and Steve Fidler. He is survived by one sister, Ola Mae Parsons of Providence Forge, VA; special cousin, Mary Davis of Shinnston, WV; several nieces and nephews, and his caregiver, Mamie Tenney of Buckhannon. Mr. Fidler worked in the sawmill and loved to work on lawnmowers. A graveside service Monday, August 26, 2024, at Indian Camp Cemetery in French Creek, WV with Pastor Ed Lowther officiating.
