Obituary of Larry G. Furr

Larry G. Furr, age 72, of Buckhannon, WV died Friday, September 22, 2017 at his home. He was born August 9, 1945 in Gilmore County, WV, a son of the late Maise and Pearl Young Furr. He married Betty Mick who preceded him in death on February 6, 2003. He is survived by two sons, Jonathan Furr of Weston, WV and Matthew Furr and girlfriend Melissa of Buckhannon; one grandson, Lucas Furr of Buckhannon; one granddaughter, Hannah Furr of Buckhannon; two brothers, Guy Furr and wife Judy and Bob Furr all Medina, OH and two sisters, Rita Smith of Cincinatti, OH and Verlyn Rexroad of Buckhannon. Mr. Furr was a Social Worker and was a member of the Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church. Friends will be received Monday, September 25, 2017 from 5-8 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. He will Lie in State from 10-11 AM on Tuesday with funeral services beginning at 11 AM at the Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church with the Rev. Rodney Heckert officiating.
