Hope Mae Spears, age 94, of Buckhannon, WV died Sunday, September 24, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon. She was born September 26, 1922 in Huntington, WV, a daughter of the late Guy Lester and Lily Meabon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Jack Burner who passed away in 1945 while serving his country; 2nd husband, Earl Spears; one daughter, Jane Spears; three sisters and one brother. She is survived by one daughter, Linda Stark of Elkins, WV; two sons, Stephen Spears of HI and Fredrick Spears of North Myrtle Beach, SC; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Mrs. Spears was a homemaker and a Methodist by Faith. She was a member of her church choir. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
