Obituary of Waneta Katheryn Small

Waneta Katheryn Small, age 81, of Buckhannon, WV died Friday, October 27, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon. She was born June 3, 1936 in Morgantown, WV, a daughter of the late Clyde and Vercie Robinson Lake. On April 16, 1957, she married Richard “Pee Wee” Small who survives. Also surviving are three sons, Jimmy Small and wife Darlene, Joe Small and Richard Lee Small and wife Renee all of Buckhannon; three daughters, Hazel Ware and husband Mason, Betty Howard and husband Albert and Evelyn Longanetta and husband Frank all of Buckhannon; eighteen grandchildren and twenty-four great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two infant sons, Ezra and Eddie Small and one brother, Denzil Lake. Mrs. Small was a homemaker and a Christian by faith. Friends will be received Tuesday, October 31, 2017 from 11 AM until 1 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 1 PM Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Wease L. Day officiating. Burial will follow in the Upshur County Memorial Park in Tennerton, WV. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
