Obituary of Spencer Vance Jenkins

Spencer Vance Jenkins, age 65, of Buckhannon, WV, died Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon. He was born June 17, 1952 in Harrison County, WV, a son of the late William Coleman and Lola Faye Cobb Jenkins Spore. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his step-father, Virgil “Bud” Spore. He is survived by two sons, Shane Jenkins and Lucas David Jenkins and fiancé Pamela Zickefoose all of Buckhannon; one daughter, Amy Wall of Washington, DC; two granddaughters, Hayden Leigh Zickefoose and Madison Mae Jenkins both of Buckhannon; one sister, Sherry Ann Bailey of Newton Falls, OH; three brothers, Gary D. Jenkins and wife Sally of Clearwater, FL and George W. Jenkins and wife Janice and Philip Jenkins and wife Amberle all of Buckhannon and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Jenkins was a devoted grandfather. He was a skilled carpenter and was previously employed by Reger Lumber Company, McKnight Mobile Homes and Roblee Coal Company. Friends will be received Monday, November 13, 2017 from 11 AM to 12 noon, the funeral hour, at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home with the Rev. Wease L. Day officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant View Church Cemetery in Hodgesville, WV. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
