Obituary of Emma Joanne Fallon

Emma Joanne Fallon (nee: Peterson), 82 years of age, and a resident of Sandusky, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at Stein Hospice in Sandusky. She was born June 23, 1935 in Weston, West Virginia. Joanne was raised and lived in West Virginia before moving to South Amherst. She had made her home in Florida, Georgia and South Amherst for forty-two years before moving to Sandusky where she had resided for the last five years. Joanne was employed as a billing clerk at Nordson Corporation in Amherst for eighteen years. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Sandusky. Joanne had a passion for rug hooking and had belonged to some local clubs. She was known to be an excellent cook. Joanne loved being a grandmother and her family and friends were her constant source of joy. Survivors include her loving husband of sixty-two years Lawrence "Leo" L. Fallon; her daughter Sheila Watson (Damon) of Goodyear, Arizona; her grandchildren Adam Prosak Renton, WA and Aaron Prosak (Meredith) of Fall Branch, TN; her brother Kenneth Peterson (Karen) of Glouchester, Virginia; her sister Kae Smith (Jerry) of Avella, Pennsylvania; her nephews Scott Peterson, John Peterson, Rick Peterson, Brian Smith, Mark Smith, Skip Wilson, Jason Wilson, Kevin Gould and Kenneth Gould; her brother and sister in law; Terry Gould of Buckhannon, West Virginia and Judy Wilson (Al) of Brasselton, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her son Lawrence W. Fallon on November 3, 2003; her parents Erlo and Lucy Jo Peterson (nee: Osburn). Friends may call Thursday, November 30, 2017 from 5-8 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home; 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst. Additional Calling hours will be held Sunday, December 3, 2017 from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 1:00 p.m. at Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home; 95 S. Kanawha Street, Buckhannon, West Virginia 26201. Burial will follow at Peterson Family Cemetery in Weston, West Virginia. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Stein Hospice; 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, Ohio 44870. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
